Letter: Our Representatives – Hardworking, Honest, Caring, and Thoughtful

The Glastonbury Citizen September 2, 2010 <Original>

Once again it is time for us to remember those who have been working for us a the state and national levels–working surely night and day on issues that affect all our lives. I am, of course, referring to our representatives in Congress and the State House.  For me this is Congressman Joe Courtney and Representative Tom Kehoe.

I know them both well and can vouch for their integrity–they are princes among men.  Hardworking and honest, caring and thoughtful.  You can call either one on any issue and he will listen and act. There are many examples of this in the past four years.  Both have records of examining the facts and voting independently on the budget, the environment, and everything in between.

We have ten weeks before the election. I urge everyone to be careful about what you believe among the many outrageous statements you will hear and see in campaign literature and TV ads. I know Joe and Tom as the most trustworthy public servants. They deserve your support. Please vote for both Courtney and Kehoe on November 2. Everyone in Connecticut will benefit.
