Thank you, thank you, thank you - to Glastonbury voters. I very much appreciate you confidence in me to be your state representative and I look forward to serving you in the remainder of this session and at the start of the next one in January.
I have worked hard on the issues that you have told me are important to Glastonbury residents and to our state – providing property tax relief and reform, fighting sprawl by working to preserve open space and farmland and promoting smart growth in our state, improving our education system, getting access to affordable health care for our citizens, helping to bring our electricity costs down and working to improve our environment including increased funding for clean water.
In the next session I want to continue to work hard on these issues as well as the Connecticut economy which will be my first priority. Amidst the required belt tightening will be an opportunity to restructure our government to be even more focused and efficient to serve its citizens. And I hope we will be able to use the necessary infrastructure improvements, like repairing our highways and bridges and building a 21st Century mass transit system to not only fight grid lock on our roads but to also create jobs here in Connecticut and stimulate our economy.
Your support is greatly appreciated. I look forward to meeting with and hearing from you as we work together to make Glastonbury and our state an even better place to live and raise our families.
